YouFibre partners with Her Game Too to tackle sexism in sport and gaming

- YouFibre becomes the latest partner of Her Game Too, the campaign working to tackle sexism and promote equality for women and girls in sport and gaming.

- The partnership’s key focus is a content series shining a light on the experiences of female gamers, produced with a line-up of influencers over the coming months

- Her Game Too has grown from a grassroots campaign founded in May 2021 into one of the most recognised equality campaigns in UK sport, and now extends into gaming through its dedicated Her Game Too Gaming branch

YouFibre, the UK's second-largest alternative Full Fibre broadband provider, has announced a new partnership with Her Game Too, the campaign dedicated to tackling sexism and promoting gender equality within sport and gaming.

Founded in May 2021, Her Game Too has grown from a small group of female football fans into a nationally recognised campaign, working with football clubs and sporting organisations across the UK to challenge sexism and misogyny and improve the experience of women, whether they're fans, players, employees or volunteers. Recognising that the same barriers facing women in sport extend into gaming, Her Game Too launched Her Game Too Gaming, a dedicated branch working to make gaming spaces safer and more inclusive for women.

A central part of the partnership is a series of content spotlighting the experiences of female gamers. YouFibre and Her Game Too will work with a range of influencers over the next few months to create the series, giving female gamers a platform to share their stories. Details of the series will be shared in the coming weeks. The partnership builds on YouFibre's commitment to supporting the communities it serves, using its sporting and gaming partnerships to create a positive impact beyond broadband. A huge part of life happens online, including in gaming, and YouFibre believes that it deserves the same fairness and welcome as anywhere else.

Claire Bannister, Marketing Director at YouFibre, said: "We've built our name on bringing better, fairer broadband to communities across the UK, and we want that same thinking to run through everything we do, including how we support the places we serve. Her Game Too's mission to make sport and gaming genuinely welcoming for everyone is one we're proud to get behind. Communities work best when everyone gets a fair go, on and offline, and that's exactly what this partnership is about. We’re especially excited about the content series we’re building with Her Game Too, giving female gamers a platform to share their experiences and be heard."

Caz May, CEO at Her Game Too, said: "Having seen the impact Her Game Too has had in football, we’ve increasingly recognised that sexism isn’t confined to one sport - it is an issue that exists across the sporting world, and particularly within gaming. We’re incredibly grateful to YouFibre for supporting us as we take our gaming work forward. This partnership gives us a valuable platform to shine a light on the experiences of female gamers, share real stories and help raise awareness of the sexism they face. By listening to those experiences and bringing them into the conversation, we have a much greater opportunity to create positive, tangible change and make gaming, and sport more broadly, a more welcoming space for everyone."

This is more than a milestone. It's a movement. Watch here to see the incredible and inspiring work Her Game Too has done, to transform female inclusivity in sports:
